What i don't understand is didn't the reanimation jutsu reduced the corpses power significantly as stated in the og Naruto when Orochimaru used it? Cuz these kage's and legendary shinobis are like basically their former self with sufficient chakra plus immortal.

Just rewatched the scene, he absorbed it so I got that wrong but I still don't get how he activated the rinnegan there. He just says he already had it before he died but not the reason he didn't have it the moment he was reanimated. Its implied Kabuto did something there but I'm not sure

maybe he's re-figuring out what he can do in his newly re-animated body so it took a while? and he figured out how to get the rinnegan up and running while trying to avoid the rasen-shuriken...?
